Nestled in the Cascade Mountains 70 miles northeast of Seattle, Yarmuth Farms
handcrafts the finest goat cheeses available. We’re a family-owned, WSDA-
certified, Grade A dairy and our 40 goats browse on wild vegetation and premium
alfalfa, making their milk nutritious and delicious. With towering hemlock, cedar, and
fir trees for neighbors, we produce the purest milk, which in turn makes absolutely
delicious cheese. We love our goats and we love our work - one nibble of Yarmuth

Our 45 goats produce all the milk at Yarmuth Farms. We care for a mixed herd of
pure-bred, ADGA-registered Nubian, La Mancha, and Alpine does. We supplement our goats’ diet
with the highest-quality alfalfa from Eastern Washington and specially formulated high-protein grain.
Twenty-one of our does birthed 50 kids this season and we’re happy to say they’re
all healthy and thriving. We bottle-feed all of our kids to encourage them to be
people-friendly and to help us get to know them individually. We love doing it!
Twice a day we milk our goats in a modern facility equipped with the finest Delaval
machinery. We immediately transfer the milk to our “make” room, where we begin
crafting the different varieties of Yarmuth Farms Cheese.
We produce a variety of cheeses at Yarmuth Farms – all crafted by hand in small batches, using
traditional farmstead methods. We maintain a small herd to ensure quality and all our ingredients
are natural - we use no antibiotics or hormones. The changing seasons influence our goats’ milk, in terms
of production and flavor. As the milk changes throughout the year, so do our methods and craft.
We constantly adapt our recipes and techniques to maintain uncompromising standards in purity,
taste, and quality. We keep our ingredient list short, relying on care and passion to achieve superior results.
